Chuck Asay sifts the events of the day through his biblical worldview and tries to persuade readers to see things his way...that rights are given by a higher authority than the governments of men, that mankind is not the ultimate arbiter of truth and that our Constitutional Republic is worth protecting. Chuck believes ideas, not politicians rule the world. He tries to protect ideas which he thinks are good and attacks ideas he thinks bring harm.

Mr Asay, ignorance and proud to display it.
Thadpole said, 8 months ago
If you find him to be so ignorant (Yes, IGNORANT, not IGNORANCE…), then why do you waste your time looking at his cartoons? You already know where he stands on things, so it’s not like his stance is a surprise!

Thadie, “ignorance” will stand and besides it’s the additional postings, ie your’s, that’s good for the giggle.
Thadpole said, 8 months ago
Too bad you only read the posts for “a giggle,” rather than to prompt genuine introspection… but thanks for the response nonetheless. I think you did a far better job of proving my point than I ever could.

He seems to be putting out new ‘toons quickly now. There was one about CA that only seemed to be up for less than a day. I wonder if he’s producing them at a steady pace and the web updates are ….uneven.

Funny how you same folks slam all the cartoonists on the right and get in bed with those on the left–particularly Wright

Thadpole, it still went over your head. – PS looks like I pushed a few wing-nut buttons and frustrated another … HOWEE.

Hey, everybody bow in awe when in the presence of the superior intellect!
Glad to see you’re such a fan of yourself, Humphries… It’s pretty entertaining for the rest of us to witness!

Not frustrated Humph–bemused.

Quite a lot of differences in that crowd that Assay lumped together. I’m not buying that it’s a wash between the union member and a CEO.

thadpole, most of us read all the ‘toons here, whether we agree with them or not. You think we should only read the ones we agree with? Or not comment on the ones we disagree with? I don’t get what your problem is with HUMPHRIES commenting on this.
cdward said, 8 months ago
HOWGOZIT, isn’t that what most commenters do on both sides? Is this new?

NOW NOW boy’s, you know that reading HUMPHRIE’S is just going to irritate you, So Why do you do it? Just go back and play in the shallow end, Oh, wait, it dont get any shallower than ASSAY. Well just quit reading HUMPHRIE’S you know he’s to smart for you. Good Day ?

cd: Humph does not always comment about the text–he attacks the cartoonist; particlularly those that come from the “right” or neo-cons as he refers.
Nice try senor BS

HUMPHRIE,humphrie, humprie, It’s always HUMPHRIE, why don’t I ever get attacked. I don’t like this cartoonist either, he’s a religious fanatic, radical, fundamentalist, zealot. Duh ? Little wonder he get’s attacked.

This entire sequence saddens me, on both sides of the political spectrum. Does no one here have the capacity for calm, open discussion of their opinions? It would seem not. Instead, there’s a steady stream of “I’m better than you are just because I say so” posts.
As a new user here, it is already painfully clear that this pointless banter has been going on long before my arrival. I have no doubt that it will continue long after I leave…
…which is now.

thadpole-don’t give up yet. There are a lot of interesting things printed here as well as the same old-same old. Learn to separate the wheat from the chaff.

I didn’t see any Republicans there. They were there all there when Bush was in office
Thadpole said, 8 months ago
DHZ, thanks for the response. I guess you could say that I am, in a way, taking your advice by going elsewhere. What I’ve seen here — in, granted, a very short time — has been mostly chaff, mixed with very little wheat. Perhaps I am not being fair in that assessment, but that’s what I’ve seen so far. In any case, I promise that I will check back in from time to time. If the “wheat-to-chaff ratio” improves, you may well hear from me again. Be well…
