Chuck Asay sifts the events of the day through his biblical worldview and tries to persuade readers to see things his way...that rights are given by a higher authority than the governments of men, that mankind is not the ultimate arbiter of truth and that our Constitutional Republic is worth protecting. Chuck believes ideas, not politicians rule the world. He tries to protect ideas which he thinks are good and attacks ideas he thinks bring harm.

This is brilliant because none of it would have happened if the democrats hadn’t insisted that any regulation of the financial system was bad.

I’m glad someone finally realizes whose fault it really was.

Why are Bush and McCain wearing masks & name tags of Barney Frank and Chris Dodd?

linus; It’s THE OTHER WAY around! Republicans rejected any supervision, even Mudcain voted agaist it, because the Wall St. Market was supposed to be Free and untouched…

What do you think that Barney Frank and Chris Dodd did? It was Phil Gramm and the Republicans that bowed down to the alter of deregulation. Does anyone remember that the Republicans held congress from 1994 to 2006? Long time to make a mark.

Barney Frank, a Democrat, is the one in charge of regulation. Everything you just said is completely wrong.
In fact, Barney Frank is quoted as saying:
“Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac are not in a crisis”

Hey Hobson –
You are a complete moron. Go back and listen to the sound clips on conservative radio of Dodd, Frank, and other Democrats telling their congressional buddies that Fannie Mae doesn’t need oversight and that Franklin Raines is doing a WONDERFUL job of running it.
You forget to take your meds this morning, because you sure are delusional!!!♠

I have to remember that sarcasm doesn’t work on the internet.
