Sorry, but this is an illustration of making a lot of intelligent, and valuable citizens, ex-patriot. (They would actually be the REAL patriots, which is really sad.) Theocracy is the MOST repressive, and intolerant of “governments”.

Simply put, swearing on the bible is silly, and NOT required. CAMPAINGING for any government position on the bible, should be an immediate disqualification for office. (Article Six, United States Constitution.)

Mitt wouldn’t be the first Mormon in the White House.
In fact, it’s my understanding that save for Clinton and Obama, we’ve had Mormons in the White House ever since the 1950s.
Eisenhower named Ezra Taft Benson as his Secretary of Agriculture. After that, everyone save for Bubba and Barack has had at least one Mormon in their cabinet, no matter how short the tenure.
Barack made Huntsman ambassador to China, but as far as Clinton goes one of the many, many allegations the book “Unlimited Access” made against his administration was religious bigotry: the Clintons supposedly so hated Mormons that they used the term as a slur against anyone they thought too straight-laced.
