That Sotomayor, she’s such a racist, I’m so glad Rush is pointing this out to us.—Rush is one of the mostest racists ever so of course! he would know!

Finally a subject Rush is an expert on.

with the Rx bottle as a prop, this becomes a mean-spirited toon, though accurate. If anyone deserves a mean-spirited campaign, it is Limblahblah, the paragon of mean spirited, sleazy innuendo and lies.
leader of Hippo-crat party

Have you noticed that some republicans are starting to distance themselves from Limbaugh, Gingrich, and others on this issue? They’re starting to worry about a backlash.

Mean, but somehow I love it.

you all seem to know so much about him, have you ever listened to him?
just wondering, I find he gets a lot of criticism from people who have never listened to his program or only little bits. I don’t listen to him but I was forced to as a teenager when I could have cared less about politics.

They should, tracht. Sotomayor is an awesome candidate in terms of credentials, and would bring real quality to the Court, even if her judgments are not 100% in agreement with my own.

The problem with listening to Rush is that it has the effect on his “fans” of a Jim Jones, Adolph Hitler, and Barney Madoff, all rolled into one, if they’re taking PCP at the same time. Used to listen to see what he had to say, checked his “facts” that never were, and got fed up with his arrogance, ignorance, and bigotry. Rush is a wannabe Grand Dragon of the Klan, not a Republican, or patriot. What is really scary IS the reaction of his devout listeners– dudes on meth are far more rational, and doing themselves less brain damage.

There is probably 10 to 15 percent of the nation that just eats up everything that Rush says. They long for the USA that existed 50 years ago. Where white men were always in charge, women were at home raising the children and the minorities always knew “their place.” They can’t stand to see minorities in positions of authority.

KelleK, just to answer your question, yes, I’ve listened to Rush. If you look up his background, you’ll see that he hit it big with his program in Sacramento, where I lived for a long time. I wanted to know first-hand exactly who was the talk show host that was causing such a stir.
I soon realized that he played fast and loose with facts, frequently made VERY sexist comments, used underlying racist code words and contributed nothing but inflammatory rhetoric to issues of the day. I knew I no longer needed to listen to him, he had more than proved he wasn’t worth listening to.
And since he’s displayed his hypocrisy, and his lack of remorse about it, by the facts of his personal life … including his unlawful behavior to get his drug of choice.
Unfortunately, I still listen to him when the media runs his most outrageous statements as “news” stories, giving him free publicity, which is why he does it. It means more money in his stuffed pockets, which is, after all, what he is really all about it.

BCS, in tune with “free”– Rush’s show was distributed FREE to local remote stations to give them air time they could plug in their own ads to. The only reason he has so many outlets. Kinda like getting free “crack” on air.

The second panel with Rush’s mouth as big as his ego is pure comic gold

Rush makes tons of money pandering to the idea that all that was good and holy has been obliterated by the “nazi feminists”, affirmative action, and civil liberties for minorities. It suits the purpose of various factions to keep him on the air and ranting away.
