“On January 9, 2008, the United Association [of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipefitting Industry] became the first International Union to endorse Senator Barack Obama as its candidate for the Democratic nomination for President of the United States. This endorsement was discussed with the General Executive Board and they concurred.
“Barack Obama is the choice of the UA because he has always fought for working people throughout his career and will do the best job of bringing badly-needed change to Washington. Obama will help us keep existing jobs and work to develop new, higher paying jobs here in America, reform our health care system, fix our ailing schools and make sure that the pensions of our retirees are safe.”
From William P. Hite, General President.

“They’re contractors, they’ll probably show up by november fifth…of next year.”
Now, that is funny LOL, but you forgot that they’ll charge you twice as much the quoted price too… hahaha

Motive - The union leadership is for the Dems because of kickbacks and favorable laws for the union leadership - the union rank and file has broke rank and now exercises their own voice and vote.

You’re remarkably impervious to data, Paul. After all, it’s the Republicans who have paid people off lately, isn’t it? Remember the fake news stories, the payoffs to columnists, planting stories in newspapers?
Anyway, go to the link and read the whole endorsement (I only quoted an excerpt).

Machado: WE REALLY HOPE that all Americans will remember Joe the Fake Plumber next november the 4th!!!
He will be remembered as another lame and late attempt from GOP to damage Sen. Obama that BACKFIRED…
Yes, AMERICA:
Remember the LIES
Remember the SMEARs
Remember the lack of Proposals from McLame
And above it all, REMEMBER LAST 8 AWFUL YEARS

The recent situation is so obvious, ATG, that no one needs big fonts to realize it. Even if Ronald McDonald with the brains of J Edgar Hoover was on the republican ticket, no one would vote for him because people are fed up with anything that looks, or sounds, or smells, or taste republican.

Yes, CF, You are right… But sometimes a little emphasys is needed… ;-D

Joe Plumber is not THE average american citizen, he’s a stock character created based on the average republican, imposed by the GOP as the average american.
There’s not one single average american, there are 250 millions of them, all different.

To quote the SNL rap song with Governor Sarah Palin “all you plumbers pull your pants up”.

StewieZ says:
“The other thing about Joe the Plumber that I find amusing is how the left thinks it is totally cool to smear this average American citizen who had the audacity to make Dear Leader admit he’s a socialist and dared used his 1st amendment right of free speech to ask him that question”
You mean the guy whop lied about being an Independent (registere Republican), lied about being a plumber (he does plumbing, but h’e not licensed and is operating illegally), lied about *working for a plumber (his boss is the same), works in a contracting business that is illegally operating (licensing), lied about how much money he expected to make, and lied about being a union member?
You mean that Joe the Plumber?
Or perhaps you mean the guy who can expect a tax cut under Obama’s plan?
Oh, look - they’re the same guy!
