    The problem with the pre-ACA healthcare was that insurers knew almost everything about the individual applying for coverage, while the individual knew almost nothing about the insuring company. With Romney-Obama Care that changes.
    -
    The recipients of ACA coverage will know who, how much, what, when, where and, hence, be able to make better informed, less costly decisions for themselves and their families. End of story.
    -

    You sensible folks of voting age, please consider WHY the RepubliCons and their media mouthpieces are so-o-o-o against an informed, free market in a service that every citizen will sooner or later HAVE to have. Why do they TALK free and voted RIGGED?

    Actually, Obama bribed congress by promising to pay most of their premiums.

    You can get the study from the Kaiser Family foundation website. The link to the study is on the right side of the page labeled “issue brief.”

    Alternately, you can get it directly from the site the PDF is hosted on

    How long does a “mistake” float around before it becomes a lie? There is no waiver from the ACA for Congress, simply a correction to a bomblet planted by the GOP that would have made it unworkable. I’d say this has been publicly explained enough times that to continue to make the claim counts as a deliberate lie.

    I’m an old guy. I’ve had insurance in one form or another for over 50 years. I have always know who, how much, what, when and yes thus was able to make informed less costly decisions when I decide which coverage and which company to use. The ACA does nothing to improve that fact.

    What it does is open exchanges so that those not able to purchase an expensive policy can opt for a less expensive plan with high copay or high deductibles and have the rest of us help pay the bill for them.

    Now IF it’s such a hugh wonderful law that benefits one and all WHY is it that those that know the most about it, those that had a hand in crafting it do NOT want to participate in the program? Something about raising the cost for staffers ’cause they will have to pay something like the rest of us?

    If you want the government to run health care then vote for a single payer system that is supported by a designated tax JUST like medicare…….oh wait…….we already have that …. we can just expand it…right?

    I’ve always known about my insurer. I certainly wouldn’t get insurance without knowing what I got, unlike our liberal friends who want to pass things without reading them. But I guess if having a choice and making an informed decision is a problem, then you might have a point.

    Actually, yours was bad as well. That domain isn’t actually used by the foundation.

    @lookinside

    If then all people are cover by a single payer system, there will be a need for more government workers to administer that system and that need can accommodate the loss of jobs in the private sector.

    As we march toward communism.
