Jesus paid much to high a price for us to pick and choose who will be welcomed in. Having worked in retail for about 8 years, the poorly dressed often bought more than the spiffy outfitted people.
Oprah gave away a lot of cars, and other items on her show as a way to “share the wealth” her corporation was making. As to the reference to the new moving coming out, racism has NOT been thrown under the bus in this country, and Bok and others prove it.
As to “appearance”, when I was waiting for delivery of my car from England in 1967, the BMC salesman I was working with was the only guy on the floor who would wait on some “scruffy looking” guys and gals who walked in. The other salesmen called them scum. Jeff ended up selling TWO Aston Martins, FOUR Jaguars, six “mini mokes” (early dune buggy things), and a Rolls to these “scruffy guys” who paid CASH for the cars! Turns out they were a rock band that had money to burn.
It’s really stupid to judge only by appearance, without at least talking to the person, treating them with respect, until THEY prove they don’t deserve it by their actions or attitudes.
Wasn’t one of the cases that she wanted service 15 minutes after the store had closed, and it had a planned reception (or something like that)? I can understand the bag was an issue, but she shouldn’t expect service after the store is closed (though no idea why she would be inside then, so I am probably missing some info).
Jeff Kiser: apart from your bias and blindness, you might also note the schools she’s funded in Africa, and other “payback” for the benefits she knows she’s received.
Compare to Donald “the ego” Trump, who like so many “self made” conservatives, actually INHERITED their original wealth and positions!
