I do not quite get this cartoon, maybe because I think that the overall record of the President is pretty good and even the bits that are lackluster (jobs…) can be attributed to the House-GOP. But then there are people who shout “Let them die!” when it comes to the uninsured poor, so the ACA will not register with them…

I don’t see how anyone could think Obama’s record is anything but great. Have the Republicans forgotten that when Obama took office, we were engaged in two senseless wars, the world economy was on the brink of collapse, and other nations thought the USA was a joke? Things are much better now, and our biggest problems (the deficit) are the result of things like cutting taxes (Bush) and putting two wars on credit (Bush).

Don’t forget the lending institutes trying to bleed every penny out of people. (and countries)

Obama’s record IS “mixed”, and a lot of it is because Congressional Republicans blocked items, or he tried too hard to appease them, and yes, he IS pretty conservative with regard to business interests. But, comparing his record to “W”? Ask the families of our military members damaged or lost in Afghanistan and Iraq, or Osama bin Laden, how his record holds up by comparison.

If the Republicans had shown the same level of bipartisanship as the democrats did under Bush (and we all know how low that was), the ball at the end of his shackle would not be near as big.
And if Romney would be as open about his positions as he demands of the President, and/or not contradicted himself on camera so much, he would not be standing in the rubble surrounding him.
Two flawed candidates, two political parties at each others’ throats, and a citizenry at risk.
Would be a good movie if it wasn’t our current situation.
    Respectfully,
    C.

What it means is that even with the record that Obama has (and I agree that it has more positives than the right will credit) he’s still kicking Romney’s rump.
