My buddies in Denver are praying the global warming will kick in soon as we are still freezing their arses off..
DrCanuck said, 21 days ago
Here we go again: “The theory of global warming is wrong for the simple reason that Al Gore is fat.”
This is what passes for critical thinking on the Right.

Hey folks, why don’t we all sit in our car on the tracks and wait until the train hits us before we go and jump to any rash conclusions that trains might damage cars.

If Al Gore really believed global warming is such a crisis, wouldn’t he and wifey be living in a 1000 sq ft condo?
Corosive Frog said, 21 days ago
I’m still of the croud that says Global Warming is real, but I think the cartoon is a nice parody, actually.

It’s all BS.. in the 70’s we had them screaming global cooling and the dawn of a new ice age and we were all going to freeze to death and starve from the lack of food caused by a year round winter..It’s all about collecting more money from the producers of the world..
DrCanuck said, 20 days ago
AVATRBR sez: “It’s all about collecting more money from the producers of the world.”
DrCanuck soothes: Well, that leaves America out; you simpy consume. So what are you worried about?

Since when does Al look like Rush Limbaugh? And why is that relevant? He looks fine here.

charlie555 said, 20 days ago
^I wondered why the now skinny Rush is still drawn obese, but it made sense as a metaphor [ET: correct usage?] of his ego.
Perhaps it suits Gore as a metaphor of his carbon footprint which I believe is greater than that of 99% of the earth’s population.
DrCanuck said, 20 days ago
Easily explained, motive’; if you have no evidence or reason to dispute someone’s ideas, you stoop to character assassination. You exaggerate personal failings (like weight) and pretend that counters or diminishes his argument.
So if we were to stoop to the Right’s level of discussion, your proper response would be “Gore’s argument for climate change is true because he has lost weight.”
EnglishTeacher said, 20 days ago
charlie555: Most assuredly.
But to keep to the metaphor, Rush should be drawn with a fat head and Gore with big black feet.

Yup, tell your grandchildren you were witness to the grandest mass extinction ever witnessed and caused by humans. Leave them a note about your part or lack of concern in our catastrophe of apathy towards our only home,Earth. I DARE YOU, leave them a note.
