    Hard to compete with lies about the Affordable Care Act when you are running for the chance to represent gullible morons.

    I know some people who have been effected by Obamacare. There’s my aunt. She had a rough time getting a job because she’s diabetic and potential employers didn’t want to deal with the insurance issues involved. Now she has her own insurance and a new job. Then there’s my niece, who can stay on her parent’s plan until she’s 26. Until Obamacare, she didn’t have insurance. Personally, Obamacare is closing the donut hole on my Medicare, which means it will pay for a lot of medication that would have been my problem before Obamacare. And, there’s my brother who was staying on a job he only needed for the insurance because his wife has chronic respiratory problems and if she had gotten really bad it would have wiped out their savings. Now he has Obamacare and he’s retired. Another person who has benefited is the lady who took the job he no longer needed. So, if you have some actual cases of people who offset all of these benefits, put up or shut up.

    I hope the Democrats do run on ACA. It’s working! And the GOP’s lies are being refuted. See: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/03/10/obamacare-attack-ad_n_4937650.html

    And I can speak for that personally. For years I couldn’t afford health care. Now, thanks to the ACA, I have a Bronze plan for $5.98 a month. Yes, you read that right, 20 cents a day! Thank you, President Obama!

    I wouldn’t bet on that. First, if they’re over 65, they qualify for Medicare. Second, some things actually change with age I give you this link and ask that you consider what the characteristics of the old people described here look like? (I think you will see some strong liberal ideas.)
    Wisdom in old age appears to be very similar to liberalism?

    Tigger has a repertoire of posts…you might almost be able to refer to them by number (e.g., #39, rant on Obama as dictator, #56 rant on Obamacare favoring the rich and screwing the poor, which is Tigger’s term not mine, and so on). Given that, it’s difficult to take what is posted seriously.

    @martens

    Tigger is sincere. Mostly wrong, but sincere. I have no complaints about Tigger.

    Tigger may believe everything Tigger posts…I would agree in that sense Tigger is sincere. However, the habit of assigning actions, thoughts and motivations to others (both public figures like Obama and individual posters here) is offensive to me. To be honest, I no longer read Tigger’s posts because of these characteristics of repetition and false attributions.

    I like it when Tigger refers to NBC News anchorman Brain Williams. It alsways makes me laugh.

    “…According to Darrin Bell and Prof Krugman, there have been absolutely no losers, all those who said they had to pay more for less coverage were actors and actresses hired to read scripts that, like most scripts, were pure fiction….”
    .
    There was another cartoon where this was brought up, and deserves clarification. According to the person that corrected me (or perhaps clarified) is the people used in the commercials were not “losers”; not that this law hasn’t harmed anyone, because that would be a blatant lie considering I lost my insurance and my wife will soon lose hers thanks to the ACA.
    .
    As shown by the posts here, there ARE winners with the ACA but are far outnumbered by the losers.
