For those (like the cartoonist) who think Snowden is a hypocrite, please answer: do you think that in Russia Snowden will be more, or less free than spending the rest of his life in a U.S. Supermax prison?

Perhaps he will “out” Russian version of NSA…and see how a true police state handles those who reveal state secrets.

…and these are NOT Federal agencies…these are the decisions and actions of STATE and local enforcement political management…the very folks vaunted as the proper ‘Deciders’ and authorities by the ‘States’ Rights’ Conservatives. It might also be interesting to check into the demographics of those who received such diligent attention from such high-capability enforcement – just sayin’.

And what about Shrub’s absence from the National Guard? Or his own pot and other drug usages? Quit being such a hypocrite and actually READ and WATCH something other than Murdoch, Inc.

There are more surveillance cameras in the US and the UK than there are in Russia. In fact there are probably more surveillance cameras in London alone than all of Russia. The UK has more cameras than China as well.

And check out this part of the Russian Constitution:

    Constitution of Russia. Article 23:70
    1. Everyone shall have the right to the inviolability of private life, personal and family secrets, the protection of honour and good name.
    2. Everyone shall have the right to privacy of correspondence, of telephone conversations, postal, telegraph and other messages. Limitations of this right shall be allowed only by court decision.

Thats more legal protection than WE have in America. American courts have ruled against any Constitutional protection of individual privacy over and over and over again. This is definitely a case of the pot calling the kettle black.
