Here’s hoping the voters sent legislators caught up on the current anti virus shots.
.
If enough are immune the virus dies.

Let’s hope, of course, thanks to bimbos like Jenny McCarthy, vaccinations are down across the United States. That said, here’s to Jenny, for making the McCarthy name half-way respectable again!

I am not aware of a vaccines against STDs? I saw the “Naval Maneuvers” on New Year’s Eve broadcast…

Oh, there’s a sickness going around alright. It’s man-made, but easily cured by a prescription of term limits and a removal of private money from the diet!

And all it takes is voting in those who will enact such legislation when elected.
.
“trust me to vote myself out of a job”
.
It is going to be tough to accomplish.

We (Maine) added a second independent senator to the mix. Your move, everyone else…

I don’t know, Stipple. The infamous idiot from MN – the wide-eyed, can’t blink Michele – introduced the 1st bill in the House and it was, of course, repel Obamacare. What a moron. NY & NJ are in need of aid and this poor excuse for a human wants to repel for the 39th time health care. Way to go!

Shocking. What would they do with all those empty offices on K Street? Good post but I doubt it would be supported by either of the mainstream parties…

Let me guess… did Bachmann include extra revenue to PAY for getting rid of Obamacare? The GOP broke their own rule on that in 2010 as well.

The Supreme Court struck down term limits at the Federal level several years ago. Washington state passed a law limiting the terms of their US senators and reps. Scotus ruled that a constitutional ammendment would be necessary.
-
Part of the Republican Contract with America was campaign finance reform. Newt said it just couldn’t get any support.
-
One law that ought to be passed is to prohibit any federal legislator or staff member from ever becoming a lobbyist.

We alrdeady have the ability to set term limits. I have posted time and time again we need to fire all incumbents, and I’m told: "oh No, we can’t do this as we need people experienced in the way things work. Really? What do you get with set Term Limits?
This is what you get, every 12 years you have 100 new Senators, 435 new Hosue Members. a New President and Vice President

@Gresch
But there will be no pressure to vote against his constituents’ interests just to stick it to the republicans. Yes, we also need independent conservatives in congress as well. That is what I thought the tea party would be, but they insist on maintaining the name “republican” and pressuring the rest of the party. They would do more good by splitting with the Republican Party and not trying to force the rest to fall into their line. The more random votes on the floor, the more likely we can get things accomplished since you won’t simply have one party against another.

If Tigger wants to see the results of term limits, he should move to Ohio! Even the conservative Columbus Dispatch decries the “monkey move-up” next job flip flopping going on. Which leads to only lobbyists and staff having any institutional memory. The worst example of job-shopping was a legislator who was term limited from the Senate’ was elected to the House, and after being term limited again, got re-elected to the Senate where he finally retired.
