Too bad an entire civilization on a far-distant planet was vaporized by the nova. Perhaps that light is guiding another species two thousand light years away from us.

So three Wise Guys from the East saw a star in the East and followed it, and wind up going West? How does THAT work?

So let’s talk myth. Step outside tonight and look to the south east. You’ll see the three stars in a line that we call Orion’s Belt but the Ancients called the Three Kings. Follow their line down to the East and you’ll bump into the brightest star in the eastern night sky, Sirius. Continue the line down to the horizon and you’ll intersect the spot where the Sun rose this morning, December 25th. The new Sun is born again, every year, and begins its voyage northward again after its death on Dec 21st, the shortest day of the year, bringing the hope, joy, and salvation to Men with the promise of Life in the spring.

Christianity is a re-worked literalization of ancient Sun Worship myths.
