Ryan does have a back-up plan. He is still putting out ads for his House seat.

Dem Libs believe their Cooked polls. Over sampling Dem by 9 points. Then after the election when they lose, It will be the election that is flawed not their BS Poll……Got to have a poll? Rasmussen is where you get honest polling.

@onguard
Does that include the polls taken by Fox News?

Yes, because everyone knows that the only polls that matter are the ones that tell you what you hope is true. Right? How’s that cool aid tasting onguard? If you really want to check out the polls read http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com
Nate Silver controls for bias in his numbers, just reports the statistical averages among all the polls. He was right in 2008 and he gives you a much clearer picture of what’s going on… IF you actually read it (which I know you won’t, because it’s outside your little bubble). But wishin’ and hopin’ and prayin’ ain’t gonna change reality. Sorry man.

@howgozit:
When you say “your kind” what kind of “otherness” are you trying to project on him (and us)? Other than humankind? People who think differently from you? That’s not really an insult, although I"m sure you think it is. The list of Reverends you provide, in addition to “us others” are very, very, very far from glorifying President Obama or thinking of him as Messiah. We are mainly very disappointed in his administration, we feel that he stayed to the right of Eisenhower, we feel that he caved to Wall Street special interests, and the energy lobbies and that he failed to support labor in a meaningful way; and I could go on and on about these disappointments. but the point is made, we don’t glorify him, we just know he’s much better than Romney or the line of knuckleheads that he ran against in the primary. Try pulling your head out of the bubble for a minute and breathing some fresh air.

I haven’t been watching “Morning Joe” on MSNBC (I’m a Maddow-fan). But recently I thought I have to hear what a conservative (but still sane…) person on TV has to say about Romney/Ryan. Well, turns out Joe Scarborough (former GOP Representative) is losing faith in “his” candidate and says he’s been warning the campaign for weeks.
-
But the best bit came when Mika played that clip of Romney leading the crowd to chant “Romney-Ryan” instead of just “Ryan-Ryan-Ryan”. When Joe saw that he clapped his hands over his eyes and muttered “Oh sweet Jesus”. That’s how bad the Romney campaign is doing!
-
Joe continued to say that Mitt is a nice guy, a great father and what have you, but that he’s simply a lousy politician. So my curiosity into the “real Republican” mindset is now satisfied: they are appalled, frightened, humiliated, depressed, frustrated and angry with the campaign and Romney himself. Might be different with the TEA-party though, but I don’t watch Faux News (only glance at their webpage)…

Ryan referring to Romney as “the stench” is pretty revealing, and, well, accurate.

In 2008, Obama put paper bag over Biden’s head and we know how that turned out.
Go back to 1980, JC was well ahead of Reagan, The Libs said JC would have an easy win for his Second Term, we all know the results of that race.
Polls are flawed because we lie to pollsters as it’s no ones beeswax whom we vote for, This is why we Vote by Secert Ballot

I know the talking point (the main one now) for Romney fans is that the polls are wrong. Even the guys who say they don’t watch Fox are using that line. I suppose it isn’t wrong to hope, but even republican pundits now are overcome with the ineptitude displayed by this guy every day. He’s losing all the news cycles, he’s being overshadowed by his running mate, he flip flops often within hours of the original statement according to which group he’s addressing, he’s coming off as completely out of touch with working families, a man who doesn’t have the slightest idea of what it’s like to struggle financially and the polls are showing it. They could change, who knows? Again, fivethirtyeight, has some interesting reads on this and he was right in 2008. Here’s an article about it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FiveThirtyEight#Final_projections_of_2008_election
