    The truth gets lost when you base everything on lies.

    Hey. Lowe, learn the difference between stats’ rights and federal law constraints. Obama tried to weasel out on hois promise not to increase taxes on anyone making under $250,000 a year. Identifying it as a tax is what makes it legal.

    Firstly the mandate was a republican idea. they didn’t like “freeloaders getting care at hospitals at the taxpayer’s expense.”
    I have a friend who worked in the emergency room who said “you would not believe how many people come in here who can’t pay for treatment”. Many poor people
    Secondly, the taxpayers have be paying for A lot of medical treatments, possibly more than people are going to pay under the new healthcare law. So this isn’t a “new” expense just a different one. Just because someone is poor doesn’t mean they aren’t working. Many who are poor work 2 minimum wage jobs.
    thirdly, have you read about how good it will be? That you can’t be refused by the insurance if you get seriously ill.
    You can’t be turned away for a pre-existing condition.
    That peoples kids can stay on the parents insurance up till age 26 if they want to.
    There is more too. I think the people really like the plan, just not that it is Obama who happened to get this finally passed.

    It was very sly of Roberts to write the word “tax” into his decision.

    Repeating something over and over until people believe it. “tax cuts for the rich” comes to mind. As does, “Republicans hate black people.” if liberals didn’t have their hypocrisy and ability to project, they’d probably just sleep 22 hours a day. Hey, a guy can dream, can’t he?

    I make less than $250,000 a year but, I already have health insurance. Will I be penalized, no. Will I be taxed, no.
    And neither will anyone else who already has or gets health insurance.

    @Tigger

    You are WRONG. Read on:

    “A requirement that businesses include the value of the health care benefits they provide to employees on W-2s. Although this was originally required beginning with W-2s for 2011 – those issued early in 2012 – in October, a one-year delay was announced. Employers may voluntarily report the value of health benefits they provide on 2011 W-2s, but this will not be mandatory until the 2012 forms. The amount reported is not considered taxable income.”
