As it should be. I’m Caucasian, if I get pulled over, I have to show my papers. This profiling nonsense is ridiculous. I have to show my D.L. to use a credit card sometimes.
The rule of law is being politicized.

That part of the law was approved 8-0, Sotomayer voted yes. Three other provisions were overturned.

The “wise latina” and the Bob-Costas-in-drag Kagan will be the marxists’ legacy.

I had tow outpatient procedures one week apart in March, before I could be admitted to the outpatient facilities, I had to show my Insurance Card and Photo ID.
If the poor want to pawn their vehicle title, or use a Check Cashing outlet, they must show Photo ID, so its bull that requiring citizens to show Photo ID in order to vote disenfranchises one’s right to vote .

Uh, tigger, per the NY Times ( and I also saw this on my local Fox news station (not the crazy cable version): the police may seek immigration status for any person they
“stop or arrest if there is reason to suspect that the individual might be an illegal immigrant.”.
So yes, if you’re Hispanic, and you get stopped for a traffic violation, they can indeed ask for papers. Native American friends of mine have been asked to pull over many times in AZ. Now they suspect that the cops will want to check their status. The good news is that many cops in AZ won’t even bother, because they prefer to serve the actual public, as opposed to the Tea Party and its High Priestess of a governor.

I would say that anyone who has posted that they are required to “show identification” to open a checking account, apply for social security card, pulled over for a moving violation, apply for any legal court document, apply for a car loan, apply for a home loan is more proof to me that it does not impose any more on the illegal community than those of us who have to follow the laws in this country. There is definately more profiling on those that fall into certain categories i.e.(gang members, those who come accross borders, impoverished) but that is because they fit an appearence that we come to see when we are shown by the media.
