Too Florida-centric for me – what exactly does this mean?
fennec said, 14 days ago
MM, really do we care?

I’m new at this. Does this happen every Friday, all week no new cartoons and then BAM BAM almost all of sites have three or four cartoons we don’t get a chance to comment on?

I lived in Florida from 1995 to 2008, and beyond the name “Gov. Crist”, I have no idea what this cartoon is about.

Rothstein is an attorney who is in legal hot water right now and was a friend and big contributor and worker for Charlie Crist’s campaign.
Lesson to be learned – if you’re in politics, you’d better not have any close friends who happen also to be well heeled.

Ken, no, they’ve appeared to get less consistent at this in recent weeks.

In other words our gay governor has no chance.

LEGENDINYOUROWNMIND: On Luckovich, a Jewish/Goyem snark, Over here, a gay snark. You really are a putz, aren’t you?
BTW, You in Florida? I’m in Florida! What exit?
(I’m thinking you’re a little young to get the reference.)

Maybe we should vote for Arnold Schwazeneggar for president, that sounds as though it’d be some fun.
4uk4ata said, 7 days ago
Com, wouldn’t you need to change the constitution for that?
d_legendary1 said, 6 days ago
@ChurchillneedsaDIRTnap: You can take your religious license plate and stick where the sun don’t shine. In your case Sebring or one of those red necky towns you’re from! I’m sure your gay governor will help you out with that.
BTW Not old enough to know what you mean pops. I live at the end of I-95 south if its any help to ya.
Note: You will need to speak another language when you come here. You wouldn’t like it down here.

errm, d_legend, I do wish you’d drop the shtick of calling people gay as an insult. Just sayin’, you understand.
d_legendary1 said, 6 days ago
@Fennec I’m not calling him a homosexual for humor, I call him a homosexual because he is. For those who don’t know he’s been married once 30 years ago and has not been seen in the company of a woman until his bid for the vice presidency ticket.
http://www.onlinejournal.com/artman/publish/article_1315.shtml
Some sites claim him to be a bisexual
http://americansfortruth.com/news/florida-media-speculate-on-gov-charlie-crists-bisexuality.html
So yeah the comments are merited. Down here its always been a topic of discussion only mentioned in passing by the media. A gay radio show hosts by the name of Neil Rogers called him out on it.

LEGENDINYOUROWNMIND: Keep following your instincts. They are spot on. /sarc off
Just so you know, I’m a Brooklyn boy living in Boca by way of NJ… and an atheist… so BZZZZ! Wrong on all counts!
I’m no fan of Crist, but his sexuality has nothing to do with it. I thought you were part of the tolerant party? That’s an awful lot of hate coming from someone so enlightened.
And you don’t like Hispanics, either. Who’d have seen that coming?
(BTW, did you know Joe Piscapo used to be on SNL? Have you even ever heard of him? Look it up, sonny)
fennec said, 6 days ago
d_legend, church has a real point (which i was about to make, but he beat me to it). Crist’s sexuality is of no importance to anyone but himself and any partner(s) he may have. That said, I find the judgmental interest in others’ sexuality more a characteristic of the likes of scott and striper than you. I’m surprised you would give a hoot about it.
d_legendary1 said, 3 days ago
@ Church’sChicken Since you couldn’t make it up there you had to come here like all the other losers from the big city and bug the older people and in Boca no less. Wow!
An atheist? Could have fooled me! You were in lock step with Stripper a few months ago over some religious hocum. Took up nearly three pages of boredom until you decided to retire. Either that or someone hijacked your identity.
And I never said that I hated Hispanics. I just said you need to learn another language. I didn’t specify which one. That shows how little you know about this place. How bout trying to live in a place with living and breathing people where the average age isn’t death plus ten?
And your taste in humor sucks! That guy was never funny! Funny looking, but not funny!
@Fennec Normally I wouldn’t care about sexuality but when it comes from the party of anti-everything I try to go ahead and point it out. They claim to hate gays and they’re running amok all over their party. They claim to love hard working Americans and they pass legislation for the top .2% of the populous. The fact that you would actually concur with the Colonel is as much as a surprise to me as you thinking I’m a gay basher. I apologize if my comments offended you.

LEGENDINYOUROWNMIND:
Just to clarify for the future, the only reference I have ever made to religion on this site is to suggest to certain other atheists that it makes no sense to criticise others for their faith and try to proselytize them into not believing; and that the Constitution guarantees freedom of* religion, not freedom from religion. That’s it.
Other than that, I have no idea what you could be talking about.
So your record of being completely wrong on everything Churchill remains intact.
fennec said, 3 days ago
d_legend, one must distinguish between what one agrees with in another’s comments and what one doesn’t. In general, I disagree with church…he is a libertarian and I am definitely not. However, that does not mean that there could not be some points of agreement (which, in fact, I would expect to have with most people). I accept that you are not a gay-basher, but since tone of voice is difficult at best in these comments, I was unable to hear the sarcasm in your voice.

@Chruch’sChicken:
That respect your elders tone won’t work with me gramps! There are such things as old cooks and you qualify. They need to amp up your dosage of whatever drugs you’re taking at whatever nursing home you’re blogging from! Maybe you’ll remember that thou shalt not whatever it is shouting match you and Stripper had going.
churchillwasright said, 2 days ago
^ LOL! You’re record for being wrong on everything remains unblemished!
I don’t know how old you think I am, but I’m willing to bet I’m at least 30 years younger than you think! But then, there’s a real possibility that you think anyone older than 25 is old.
Go change your diapers.

Whatever you say gramps. You bore me.
