   earmarks are 2% of the budget

   quite a bit of that 2% is for new Kennedy shrines.

    The “Kennedy Shrines/Memorials” as you call them are actually things that help the economy…and represent about 0.004% of the spending bill.

    That means that about 1.996% of the spending ISN’T going to “Kennedy Shrines/Memorials”. You’re right. I am guilty of a personal foul. I actually wasted time researching this muck.

    They don’t earmark cows in Texas because of the danger of screw worms. Earmarks ran rampant under Bush. Hmmm. No wonder he only raised and harvested brush.
