    I don’t understand why you consider right and wrong that was traditional before the nation even existed “extreme.”
    .
    I consider the current push to adopt all ten Planks of the Communist Manifesto extreme. Currently 8 and a fraction are now part of the Democrat platform. The only Planks that are not adopted in totality are 1, 7, and 9, of which part of each Plank is adopted, for a total of 8.5 Planks.
    .
    To get an idea of what that really means, the Soviets enacted 8.83 and the body count was 50 million or so, not including the 13.7 million in WWII’s Red Army, of which most were casualties due to the commissar system and the practice of shock armies.
    .
    The Nazis used 6.67 Planks of the Communist Manifesto in their government and ideology.
    .
    The Republicans have adopted 2.17 Planks.
    .
    The Libertarians have adopted 0.5.
    .
    I call 8.5 pretty extreme. That is more than the Nazis enacted. We know what happened in Europe from 1917 to 1991. A half billion enslaved at different times.
    .
    The better part of 100 million were killed in WWII (Nuremburg trial figure) by Socialism. 90 million were killed directly by the Chinese Civil War, Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution. Each Socialist country has its body count.

    A party adopting what amounts to InterNational Socialism is pretty extreme.

    I find the idea that someone who opposes Socialism is “extreme” to be troubling, to say the least.

    I’m personally more troubled by planks that take an unseemly interest in what goes into and comes out of my [word I’m sure I can’t say on GoComics, despite it being perfectly harmless and inoffensive].
    But hey, that’s just me and my [word I’m sure I can’t say on GoComics, despite it being perfectly harmless and inoffensive]. YMMV
