This is a nice guest piece (day 5 of guest artists). The Netherworld seems full of bunnies in panel 3: is this the nature of M. Smokey’s dream, or is it the nature of bunnies?

I love The Sandman too!! It’s nice to see the reference here.

The reference is to an early Sandman where Dream is on a quest to restore all of his standards of power. He has a contest with the demon who fails when Dream claims to be Hope. He ends leaving with his prise, saying to Lucifer Morningstar about hell for demons having some hope for redemption.

Also, Ambush Bug got into trouble in Hell with a judge there for inquiring if he could have a glass of ice water.

As I suspected, the easter bunny is in hell. And what’s with the guy who looks like one of the pirates who don’t do anything? (veggie tales) And is the bunny wearing a minister/priest collar? What the……?????

Check the comment immediately above yours - this is a parody of/reference to Neil Gaiman’s Sandman series for DC.

(Of course the best parody of that yet was in Dave Sim’s Cerebus the Aardvark.)
