Over-protective daughter? How about a lunatic, refuses-to-cut-the-apron-strings overprotective mother?!? If “mama wants to live a little”, I’d suggest she get a life of her own rather than trying to live vicariously through her [nutty] daughter instead!

    Hi, rgcviper!

lightenup: Hey, Sis! How’s Jr. doing today? Hope she’s feeling better!

Hello and Happy Friday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope everyone’s having a really nice day today! It’s currently 59° here where I live and it looks as though that’s as high as it’s going to get, too. Thanks to all the drastic up-and-down temperatures we’ve been having here lately, it’s no wonder I woke up with a sore throat and a cold this morning. )-:

I think people of today get married over lust. She is a “hot” babe. He is so built.
But marriage is hard work. I was lucky that my wife had so much patience with me. She knew what marriage was about from her mother. She was tight about finances. She brought used instead of new. She told me there is no difference. She taught me to love my children. Children are what the foundation of an enduring marriage is. Yes, hardships are many with children, but that overcoming the hardships is what ties the bond of your marriage.
Yes, those other women were more breath taking than my pretty wife, but as the years went by, the love made her more beautiful than all of them.

Her friends and my daughter did a three day “Feminine” play in NYC. L loved writing the play. She excited about her life. We, her parents, just want her to be happy.

I never believe in the dead visiting you. But my mother did. One night, my room glowed and then her voice within my mind, said, “I’m gone.” Next morning, my wife said that my mom was living in Sacramento with my brother. But he kept her death from us about a month after her visit.
Then, my mother went to stay with my daughter. L tells me that Mom with her. Probably, that is why my daughter came up went the idea to go to China in September. I hope my mother can find peace back at her home.
My daughter says she finds it easier to talk with me because I don’t get uptight like her mother. My wife likes to give advice to her. Why she can’t enjoy talking instead of getting so uptight, L said.
“You know I could talk to your high school friend, Cathy, better than Mom.”
I won’t tell that to my wife.

In 1970, college senior girls were told they should be married because that was an answer to happiness. Most of them were divorced by 30 because it was mistake. People my age were married 2 or 3 times. I hate word perfect match. You ought to get married because you both have uncontrolled passion called love. My marriage is so imperfect match but it has be so passionate that it has lasted 40 years. Parents shouldn’t stick their noses in it. Love is your life, not theirs. We stay put of our kids’ love lives. I tell you that what you thought perfect is a ticket to hell for your kid.
