Of course there are no comments on this comic; we are too busy Christmas shopping. (I had an OC-12, 2 OC-24 and and an OC-96 circuit all overloaded all the business day with our people ordering Christmas. It has been that way since Monday. Both of my edge routers are exhausted

At noon I started blocking all the shopping sites so our customers could get to our marketing sites.

Um, Cathy … doesn’t it help to have a working brain to park? Just askin’ …

Busy weekend at work, so I’ll likely be posting in the mornings for a few days.

HI, MOM. Good Morning, “Cathy” Clan.

I thought you did seven days of gifts for
Hanukkah. Or did I suffer through making nearly two tons of Hanukkah Gelt for nothing. (Sorry – it isn’t Kosher for Passover.)

Traditionally, children receive small gifts of money for Chanukah and only on the first day. Some Jewish families, in an effort to “compete” with Christmas, give their kids gifts on every day of Chanukah, but my family never did. And since I have no children, I never had to decide how to deal with gift-giving on Chanukah. Lucky me!

I just donate stuff for everyone in their name. For example, the family got sleeping bags donated to a homeless shelter in their names. It’s a high of 35 degrees today, and sleeping bags are needed.A friend who gives me rides got things donated to the animal shelter in her name. It’s a system that works regardless of the religious holiday. Toys for Tots is great too, and they’re getting something in someone’s name.
