Maybe you can sell it as modern art, Cathy.

I love Cathy’s evil little smile in panel 4 as she’s about ready to completely destroy whatever piece of NOT-so-easy-to-assemble furniture she’s currently working on. Right now, she’s a woman after my own heart!!!!! ;-)

Having said that though, if she’s finding it too difficult to put this stuff together on her own, why doesn’t she just call her dad? I’m sure he’d be happy to help her [unless, of course, he’s just as inept as she is]. Take the word of someone who’s married to a man that’s been doing construction work pretty much all his life [as his father was in the construction business too]: there’s no shame in not knowing how to do something construction-related no matter HOW easy the instructions say it is. And as someone who has been right by her husband’s side doing everything needing to be done on our house for the past 23 years we’ve been living here, trying to correct everything that the builder did completely wrong back in1985 . . . very little is ever really easy if you want the project done RIGHT!!!!!

    Hi, rgcviper!

Happy Saturday, fellow “Cathy” clan. Hope everyone’s been having a really nice weekend so far! Still enjoying unusually wonderful temps here in Southern Indiana. The high for today was a lovely 84°.

I know exactly what you mean Mom — only for us it has only been 22 years. You stand right over the builder and they still manage to screw it up. My husband showed the guys the exact cuttings that he wanted on the wood work in the new sunroom, gave them the exact color (and can) of stain he was using on the rest of the house (mahogany), and they stained everything with walnut — really hard to get out of a $700 oak door and next to mahogany it looks black.
