Less than three years to go until she’s married, Mom (but even then, you’ll have to wait another six years before you finally get that grandchild you’re so desperate for)! eye roll

I missed the final year of Cathy. Does she really have a baby?

Not that we ever saw in the strip, but the very last strip (which ran in October 2010 and was set about six months in the future) had Cathy announcing that she was pregnant — and expecting a girl (who gives a little “Aack!” in utero in response!).

Quite possibly. After all, despite what Cathy thinks, the apple clearly never falls that far from the tree in her family! LOL

Cathy’s mom has YEARS to wait to get her hands on that grandbaby. Cathy should have adopted a child like her creator did in real life. Because of the story line, Cathy was too old to ever have one of her own. Too unbelievable to the real Cathy followers.

Not to be pushy or anything …

HI, MOM. Happy Sunday, “Cathy” Clan.

Still missing Aaron and Billy, wherever they are …

I personally think it’s a shame that Cathy Guisewite ended the strip with the announcement of Cathy’s pregnancy. I’d have much rather seen us actually go through the pregnancy and end the strip with the birth of Cathy’s daughter. Can you just imagine what a hormonal Cathy during the last trimester of her pregnancy would be like? She’d make the Cathy we know now look positively sane! :)

It’s a shame that Cathy felt forced to leave her own house in order to get away from her mother and all the “get married and have a baby already!” nagging she got hit with as soon as her parents walked through the door. Poor Cathy. I feel so bad for her today. She never even got to say “Hello” to them first before her mother immediately started in on her. What a miserable way to spend the day!!!!! :-(

lightenup: How did the cheerleading competition go?

Susan: I had to LOL at your comment! I’d bet on the answer being a big, fat “YES!” because that’s all SHE’S ever known her whole life. As legaleagle48 said: the apple never falls far from the tree!!!!! ;-)

Hi, rgcviper! I miss Aaron and Dr. Billy too. I wonder every day where they are, how they’re doing and if they’ll ever be back again. I’m always hopeful, though, that one of these days I’ll make my daily visit here and find them back with us once more!!!!! :-)

Hello and Happy Sunday, fellow “Cathy” fans. Hope you’ve been enjoying a nice weekend so far!!! :-)

It would have been so much fun to watch Cathy be a mom.

Thanks for that info because I hadn’t seen Cathy since she and Irving were having tax problems as a married couple. The strip was dropped from our paper. Was able to find it online where they started it all over.

Yes. I remember a strip where Cathy saw a picture of her mother when she was Cathy’s age ( in her thirties) and Cathy was about seven years old.

I like Cathy, but, sometimes too many words are used to convey the message…
