Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

Wow, that didn’t last long, Cathy! And where’s your sideways hat? He has one too – it could have been a perfect match. Oh well, another opportunity missed…
Good morning, Cathy clan! Love you all and thank you for being here!
@hendelca – I agree… I do need to rest and relax some. I try to be in it for the “marathon” rather than the “race”, if that makes sense. I think right now is hard because so much is going on and most of it has to be done. So I’m trying to push through it and then will rest next month (I hope). I just hate the way I have less patience and feel on edge a lot. So I really appreciate being able to come here for a “getaway”.
p.s. I don’t like coffee either, but I do love tea. Tea does make me feel good and I love my tea time every day. Hot chocolate rocks too!

Sometimes when I’ve got work to do on my computer, I’ll go to Starbucks because I can actually focus better there than at home. I’ll do what Cathy ends up doing in this strip so hopefully no one will bother me. However, I like to be in tune with what’s going on in the store, so I’ll sit in the back facing the door. Come to think of it, I ALWAYS like to face the door no matter where I’m eating / drinking. Anyone else have that quirk?
Hope you’re having a good day, lightenup — same for everyone else in the Clan. Where is everybody?

@catsarge
I actually face the door, too. However, I learned this response from my dad, who was a cop and faced the door due to watchfulness/paranoia.

That makes sense. I think I want to be on top of my surroundings and see who’s coming!

Muscle spasms, Cathy?
I, too, wonder where everyone is today.
