   As half owner of a small business I can appreciate the sentiments today – even if we are not a retail store.
   
   Really quiet here today! Quick visit myself. Just finished packing up after doing the lighting for the local dance school Christmas recital. Really enjoyed it – even if every muscle in my body hurts – and I didn’t even dance!

   Hi Cathyites!! We did support our local yarn shop today — Ewe-nique in Royal Oak MI. Also went to a lovely Bead and Gem show and bought from vendors we have gotten to know over the years. And we hit the local Farmer’s Market. Not a bad day for us.
   When I taught Women’s Studies, I showed a film about WalMart which showed all of their lousy labor practices — including being the only store around that sent their employees down the street to apply for food stamps because they all qualified.
