Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

Ouch, this one hits home with me. My mom’s counters are overflowing with paper, and it’s a constant battle with me. I don’t think that I’m as bad as her, but I do fight it every day. Sigh…
Good morning, legaleagle and Violet Bay! LOL, Violet! Every time that I clean off my desk, it’s like the other papers know it and fill the void. :-)
Good morning, Aaron and Susan! Hope you all are having a nice morning!

Billy and I don’t do clutter. His mom doesn’t either. My mom kept hers confined to a desk drawer and loved having it empty. Anne you should be ashamed of your self, not pleased. Cathy is nutty enough without your help and 10 times nuttier with your help. Poor Cathy, I really do feel sorry for her.
Morning Susan should you arrive. Morning frightenup if the smile hadn’t worked yesterday, you would have gotten the full treatment. He was ready and willing by the way. :-D Hello fellow Cathyites.
Hi Mom!
Time to sleep for a while. :-)

Ah, Aaron, how can you live without clutter! That’s what designates “your space.” However, Billy made up for you being out of step in the clutter kingdom by offering up that wonderful black forest pound cake as dessert. Chocoholics, unite!

You’ll have to make another one for Saturday now!

@soonergal
I’m pretty sure Aaron and I both inherited the “we hate clutter” gene from our moms. We both shook our heads at the commercial on TV that starts off with “Too much stuff!”. Ick.
Lean and mean is our way. We don’t even have a printer for our Macs. We print everything to PDF files. Printing to paper seems counter-intuitive to having a computer.
Anona Mouse :-D We stocked up on our Dumbledore Dust at Diagon Alley so that servings are self-replacing. Have another? :-D

My mom has tried to get my dad to deal with all the paper, but he argues that he wants to keep it, so now he’s having his cluttery way. My dad’s desk has a foot high of unopened mail and documents on his desk.

Ooh yes, thank you, Billy! I don’t mind if I do.

i’m all in favor of families staying in touch, but this way is a bit nutty.
Of course, what did I expect from Cathy and her mom??
Happy Friday, all.
