Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

I remember seeing a picture of the Beckhams at the royal wedding last year.
Victoria was wearing a pair of those platform shoes with the 6" stiletto hells.
Is it any wonder that she never cracks a smile???
Good morning. Aaron (when you wake up), Drs. Billy and KFG, Lightenup, Legaleagle, GsMom, and the rest of the “Cathy” nuts.

Or Are Women ACTUALLY That INSANE?
Anona Mouse said, 8 months ago
I’m not. But then I never could walk in heels.

We do like a shoe for every occasion…..Happy Sunday all.

All that from shoes. Wow.
No Naughtius women are not insane (in general — and none who are fellow Cathyites). Cathy isn’t insane either. Just a total nutjob head to toe, no matter what she’s wearing.
I wonder what Cathy would think of Aaron who’s barefoot 75% of his day. Or me, who wears sneakers almost 90% of the time.
Good morning Susan :-) Afternoon (most likely) Frightenup — Aaron and I will work on Halloween later this month. Hello Cathyites wherever you are.
Hi Mom!

I can’t agree with her on this one, although I know there are shoe fanatics out there (usually women). For me, I just want my shoes to be comfortable and look nice. Does that mean that I am boring? Maybe…
Good morning, Susan, Naughtius, AnonaMona, ncalifgirl and Billy!!
Sharp eye, Billy! I did change my name and avatar last night. I felt like with October starting tomorrow that it was time and Monday mornings are usually too busy to figure this out then. Looking forward to seeing yours!
For those who want to change their names to something Halloween related, just click on your name in the upper right corner and edit your profile. Then change your first (and/or last) name to be what you temporarily want to be. Your login will be the same, you’ll just appear as your “new” name.
Hello to the rest of the gang who may come by later… GsMom, KFG, Aaron, rgcviper, lindz.coop, hendelca, Mona, serenasakitty, kittycatpawsare, gmforde, soonergal, lippyfish, Mai Tai, Willi Nilli, mollie, Bronzepony, simpsonfan2, tegm, legaleagle, Shyygirl27, catsarge10, BJIllistrated, Molly mcgee, Teresa, mar mar in MI and all the other Cathy nuts rolling around here today!

AACK—I did not see this joke coming … although I DID notice Cathy was (slightly) overthinking this one.
Hmmm … a good Halloween-related user name. I’ll have to think that one over.
Happy Sunday, all.

I’m telling ya Cathy, barefoot. It works on so many levels. ‘Course you’ll still be trouble AND a nutjob but it’ll limit your focus.
Hello Cathyites :-D

Time to stick a fork in me — I am done. LMB is on the starting blocks, ready to race me down one flight. I’m so gonna leave him in the dust.
G’nite lindz.coop and kittycatpawsare. See you tomorrow.

Good evening fellow Cathyites. I have to agree with Aaron – barefoot is best. Just wish our summers here were a little longer so I could be barefoot more – that and a warmer floor in my office. Something about basements….
Anona Mouse said, 8 months ago
My daughter spent most of her childhood barefoot – in spite of my nagging about cold feet. She still goes barefoot in her own home whenever possible, although she has to be a bit more conventional for work.

I’m looking into heated floors — tho I’ve heard they can be hard to maintain in the north country if you’re not around in the winter.

Hi other Cathyites!! I like shoes, but they have to be comfortable and I do admit that I mostly wear sneakers. As a dancer, heels always hurt my calves, so I haven’t worn them since my 20s — and as you might imagine, my ballerina toes are not anything to show off, so flip-flops are out. I just look for interesting socks (some of which I knit myself). I can’t even begin to imagine trying to walk in some of the 6 inch gladiator platforms that I’ve seen. Yikes!!!
Thanx frightenup for the tip on name changing — I may try it.
(PS — I do have a friend in Seattle who I exchange “shoe gifts” with and we have a lot of fun with that.)
