Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

Oh wait - this is that male-one-track-mind-no-detours thing backfiring, isn’t it? Never mind, can’t help you.

welcome to the world women have had to put up with for so long, Irving! No wonder Cathy is patting him on the back like a child!

Life was so easy when you just bought jeans. Once I tried to get a medium-rise (since I hear they’re better) in a non-stretch and failed, and haven’t bought jeans in the years since. Coffee took me years to learn to order too, especially since I don’t like coffee itself, which isn’t a problem these days

That too many choices thing can drive you nuts. Irving just take the “geezer” cut and be satisfied.

Relaxed fit, straight cut. Anything else is overkill.

Or do those Only Exist inThe Smithsonian these days?

Acutally, this is the EXACT reason when I was younger I used to buy my jeans in the guy’s section. I could get the waist and length right without worries.
Ahh .. how times have changed.

Same here, and men’s jeans are cheaper too.

@Seccotine, you might enjoy reading Stone Soup for Sept. 4 and 5.
and could somebody please tell me how you order when you don’t like coffee itself? (as @masnadies mentioned). If I knew how, it would greatly enlarge my social life!
not to mention my pleasures in the little sensations of life…

When you actually find a pair that fit, buy THIRTY of them! It’ll never happen again.

There are too many choices out there for people. It’s hard to be the customer, but think about the employee. I work at a deli counter, you know cutting meat and cheeses. I have someone walk up and say ’ I need some turkey cut’ I have about 8 turkeys for them to choose from, and 3 different brands. Too many choices from just about everything, even water.
