Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

No, I don’t think husbands and wives are a good idea on the golf course. I play with my friends, my husband plays with his. We really only play together on vacation.

Personally, I’d rather he went.

Better yet, Cathy, YOU go out and let your worthless hubby and his mooching parents clean out the garage.

Knowing his mother it’s likely they’ll be cleaning out the garage for themselves to live in while mommy in law dearest takes up residence in their house!

Hey…Irving has hair!!!!!!
Golf is an excuse people make when they don’t want to deal with real issues.
You can waste 6 hours that way.

Speaking of wasting 6 hours–cleaning the garage? Who cares?
I’m a woman, and way too many of my gender spend WAYY too much time cleaning. My philosophy is that no woman on her deathbed ever said “I wish I had kept a cleaner house.”
Far too many interesting and fun things to do–even golf, though I don’t play.

I spend my ‘me’ time on GoComics.

“Girl” language just doesn’t sound right coming from a boy - particularly Irving. That’s why Cathy was instantly suspicious.

Irving, just put your pants on and go.

Yeah I’m missing my comics that I read there. They still send them to my inbox but they’re nothing but x boxes. I hope the site is back up and running soon.

Wow, I am glad to see that others had the same problem with comics.com! I couldn’t believe that all the other email was fine, but day after day, the comics wouldn’t load! I even checked with my ISP (msn) and they had a ‘hotfix’ for a reported email problem - but that wasn’t it…

I’ve got the perfect solution for Irving. I don’t have a garage.
