Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

Just tell the old wombat to get out of your closet! Better yet, start going through HER stuff and pulling out things she’ll want to keep.

Better yet tell her to get out of your house. Learn to stand up to that overbearing barracuda.

…she has been trying to get rid of a few pounds for years…

I don’t know how many times I can say this. This storyline is not funny at all.
Not funny, not poignant, not ironic, not pathos.
It’s more than annoying, but I can’t say what I really think on a family-oriented web site.
I only glance at this because I haven’t yet removed the bookmark for this comic. But after I write this, it’s gone.

I like it! I would sooooo go to their yard sale. There will be some premium stuff there. Cathy and Irving always buy the best for themselves.

lol, off the high horses everyone, and cathy needs to follow her because if she reacted in return things just get worse and her stuff WOULD disappear.

I’m the “I can’t let this go!” person in our family.
ejcapulet – I’ve been trying to think of the best word to describe Cathy’s MIL. Wombat! You got it!

So glad the folks who don’t like this comic are leaving – I think it’s hilarious – and yes, mil should be out in the driveway for the sale – in fact pay somebody to haul her away!!
