Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

Oh well, you may forget what you went into the room for originally but you can find something to do while you’re in there so it’s not a wasted trip!

ej, same here. Only it’s in the office, not at home. You’re doing a report, a patient calls. You drop everything to handle their problem. Once you finish, you forget what you were working on. So you decide to file, only you find two time sheets for the same date. So you call the nurse to ask why. Once you get it fixed, someone already took your filing out of alphabetical order looking for something. So you start alphabetizing them (again) only to have your coworker ask what’s wrong with her computer. So you check it out. Software bug in the database. So you call the tech support because you’re the only one in the office who knows anything about computers. You fix it. Noon time. Time to get the mail. You check the mail. There’s a satisfaction survey that isn’t pleasing. So you write an apology letter to the client for their poor service from the physical therapist, which isn’t really your fault since the patient was non-compliant with her exercises. But you have to do it because your boss says so. Then the admin asks if you’ve followed up on the POCs. OF course you haven’t. You’ve been busy. But you do it because she tells you to.
By 5 PM, you’ve only finished half the POCs, the filing still isn’t done (isn’t even alphabetized), your report isn’t finished. The only thing you’ve accomplished is one rotten letter, one client issue, and a software correction. And you’ve worked all day! Then your boss calls you lazy because half your work is never finished.
Sorry if I’m venting. It was just that kind of week.
