Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

Nice to see she’s comfortable in her own little world. Now if she’ll just get into her own little house/apt., we’ll be all set!

Hey, she’s happy with herself, thank Heavens someone is! One of the “prettiest” girls in my college was nearly 200 pounds but she was so happy and cheerful and confident that she ALWAYS had a date.

I’ve been blessed with a great metabolism, so I’ve always been skinny. Girls keep comparing themselves to me, “Oh, I wish I were skinny like you.”
I keep telling them, as long as you’re a healthy weight, thinness is overrated. Once you started teetering into obesity, then you can worry. But real women don’t look like supermodels. They’re healthy and happy!
I’m gonna go eat a sticky bun now!! Happy Wednesday!

I’ve read that you’re healthiest when you’re about 10 pounds overweight. So supermodels are not healthy, they’re underweight.

Why do you think, that the “Miss __ Pagents” now require women to be a MINIMUM weight? Because being anemic isn’t healthy!
I’ve dated ONE GIRL in my life, who was 5’2” 100lb … I loved her but I wouldn’t date someone her size again … I’m afraid I might break ‘em hahaha

This storyline is tedious and unfunny. Get rid of the parents already.

AllenVS–We women who are 5’2” 100 lbs aren’t nearly as fragile as you seem to think.
