Newlyweds Cathy and Irving navigate the treacherous waters of couple-hood. From pampered pets to prying parents, they’ve got a lot to learn! Wedding or not, it’s still all about Cathy - she personifies the young career woman and her typical daily obstacles. Ice cream, panic attacks, stress and love are all in a day’s work. We read, we identify, we laugh. Who could ask for more?
Cathy is the Everywoman. She deals with diets, self-esteem, in-laws, and letting her husband know that she is the boss. Everyone can identify with her shopping, bills, taxes, planning for the future and coping with her husband’s incessant computer golf games. Whether you are a newlywed, single, or have been married for decades, all will enjoy the daily predicaments of Cathy and Irving.

Hmmmmm, I must be out of the loop. I’ve never even seen Mad Men, 30 Rock, Heroes, or ER and I don’t really like any of the rest of them.

I’ve only seen one episode of 30 Rock, but none of the others. I simply don’t watch TV that much.
Rots your brain don’t you know and I only have so much unspoiled grey matter as it is!

In an abrupt change of subject…my eyes are getting too old to read the small print in Cathy

Books are better. You can read them anywhere, any time, and more than once.

I agree with Groucho Marx’s quote: “Television is very educational. Whenever a TV comes on, I go into another room and read a book.”

A LOT of comics are harder for me to see the small print too! Found it true with Non Sequitur!
Lucida Grande is my all time favorite font. check it out if you can :D

thanks to sites like hulu.com, and others with full episodes of shows, they can play catch up whenever they want!!!!

Yeah guys, that small print is tough. That’s why I gave up on SYLVIA even though I like it. Too much cramming. I wear one power dollar Tree glasses whenever I’m doing comics. Makes it easier, even for the ones that are bigger print.

I agree about the small print, and also wear reading glasses for using computer and reading though not the rest of the time. I also watch stuff on hulu and you can watch some shows from the IMDB site. Real cool, only one short commercial at the beginning and that’s it.

Why do Cathy and Irving both speak the same dialog at once, and so often? Could it be that they share one (pea-sized) brain between them?

neisola, and others, what i would do: eyebright tea, plus whatever is in Lets Eat Right To Keep Fit by Adele Davis.
If you are under 120 years old, you are young, but maybe worn out like land that needs some good nourishment to bring its health back.

All of you who have trouble reading the fine print on these comics – just blow it up to 125% or even larger in a separate window – works for most (not Opus, but that will soon not matter)
