    For once Lemont is philosophically pretty well spot-on.

    Biblical too! Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

    @761st

    So is “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.”
    I’m not sure why you get so excited about an idea possibly being line with a religious book whose god asks his first worshipper to go kill his son. Seems there are better moral guides out there. Lots of them.
    Also, faith is not evidence of anything, except maybe credulity.

    Those with something wonder about nothing, while those with nothing wonder about something.

    @Jkiss

    Jkiss, good start but I’d revise it to "Those with a dream, an imagination, might do, while those with nothing can’t.

    Why is “nothing” instead of “something” happening between Susan & Lamont?

    And… “you can’t have everything. Where would you put it?”
    … Steven Wright"

    There’s no specific indication of it, but it seems to me that Lemont is very stoned right now.
    Those kind of conversations are a stoner’s Nirvana (and I’m not saying that’s such a bad thing).

    That was a bad translation. It should have been, “Thou shalt not suffer a poisoner to live.”

    More like: “Nothing is proof of something missing.” The something in this case is undefined. “That that is is. That that is not is not. That that is is not that that is not, and that this is not is not that that is.” And the same is equally true.

    Absence of Evidence is not Evidence of Absence.
