The picture of “Jesus” that everyone uses is actually a picture of Cesare Borgias (son of Pope Alexander VI). The bible describes Jesus as lot different than what we’ve been shown. Shame really because it shouldn’t matter if he were purple from mars.

If He were purple from Mars, we would have a much different religion here on Earth. And a bigger space program.

That is a whole lot of misdirection over $2 Clyde.

Actually, he was Semitic, like modern day Palestinians and Jews; which is fairly ironic.

Point is, that makes him Caucasian. Much like modern day Latinos.

Of course, there is always the argument that we’re ALL African. Which brings up the irony that a descendant of a Dutch settler in South Africa who migrates to the USA would be African American; blond hair, blue eyes and all.

You humans are so amusing with your trivial distinctions.

You must know a very different bunch of Republicans than I do. Or are you just parroting what others have told you?

The author of “Don’t Let’s Go to the Dogs Tonight” is African-American … and Caucasian.

Its funny…. I have republicans friends and democrat friends, we all get along pretty well as long as we stay away from talking politics, but even then there is never the shear hate exposed here in the comic’s comments. I read the comment sections in the comics and the point of view of Tacopielvr is how many of the right-wingers come off. I’m not sure if this means that people post things they would never say in public or if many of the people who post are just so much more extreme than the average.

    Right on!

All of us believers want Jesus to look like us. Have you ever seen how he’s pictured in African communities (black) or Asian? And that’s ok, it shows we identify with him.

Molon, you got a lot of stuff off your chest, and you do doubt feel better. But do you really think anyone is going to read all that?

I thought everybody knew that Jesus was from Mars and purple.

It is very nice to have intelligent and respectful friends to have these political and religious debates with. My friends are the same way. We can have these discussions and no one leaves with hurt or resentful feelings. We are able to agree to disagree while listening and considering others view points.

Actually, it describes Him as looking so much like everybody else that they needed a close associate (Judas) to pick him out for them in a crowd.
    -
It also tells us outward appearance isn’t important. And THAT’S important when your outward appearance is like mine.

" I will never understand how a woman could “be” or vote, republican, she must hate her gender or something? "
    -
So what you’re saying is that Republican women are all stupid because you disagree with their reasons for joining that party?
    -
And you think REPUBLICANS hate women? Or at least the ones who don’t vote as you think they should.
    -
    fascinating.
    -
" If more people voted independently, and turned in blank ballots (which are counted as a form of protest) when there are no worthy candidates this country would be a lot better off."
    -
Better yet, place a spot beside every candidate’s name NOT THIS ONE. And allow as many of those votes as there are candidates on the slate.
    .
If any get more than 50% rejection, that candidate is rejected for at least one election cycle and the next candidate wins unless that one also….
    -
I can’t help but wonder why people who have gotten elected without this procedure wouldn’t want to put it in place.
    Okay, really I can.
Many fear it would have excluded them and might exclude their favorites in times to come.
    -

Clyde would agree if you loaned him $2

I got a third of the way down, does that count?
