Some people are better known by their middle name.

    Hiram Ulysses Grant

    James Paul McCartney

    Charles Montgomery Burns

For a long time I wondered why they always gave Lee Harvey Oswald’s three names in the news. Then I figured it was to distinguish the notorious Lee Oswald from all the upright and responsible Lee Oswalds.

    Well, DUH?

I always include my middle name so all the other David Greens won’t be in trouble for my words and deeds.

yeh, you don’t think about associating the name with the assassin if the middle name is left out…
e.g. : John Booth or John Stutts

I was of the opinion that many notorious criminals went by all three names to begin with – not that all people who go by three names are criminal. Guess I could look it up if had the energy.

Just noticed that in my comment above, the phrase “to begin” was underlined and in blue. I didn’t do that. I clicked on it, and was taken to a page where Dr. Oz was shilling green coffee. I tried several times to get out of it, and finally some website whined about didn’t I want to take advantage of this wonderful offer. I x’d it out, and everything disappeared. I had to create a new window to get back on gocomics.

In the past few days I’ll click on something – anything in gocomics.com, and a DiGiorno Pizza ad will pop up. Feh.

I’m told the only time anyone remembers your middle name is when you’re in big trouble with your mother.
Not having a middle name myself, I can’t verify that from personal experience.

Not getting ANY such viral effects here, Gokie5, and never have at gocomics, or anywhere else insofar as i’ve notice.

Might be the Adblock addon better defended my Firefox browser, or the browser itself is more careful, or running on an Apple Mac were my saving graces.

    Good luck.

Same here. It’s annoying, but I’ll suffer it to get the opportunity to enjoy the comics our paper doesn’t carry, and the spirited exchanges (some better than others) that ensue.

I suppose my MIDDLE NAME would be glad to plummet into an orgy of self – hatred since it is Harry.
Got any change for all these $50.00 dollar bills I have laying around.

I go by my middle name now, which I started doing after I moved out of my parents’ house. Sort of like a new name for my new life… I didn’t feel like my first name was “me” anyway.
