    I do wonder about that when I hear one of the “CSI” characters say “GSW,” which takes more effort (4-5 syllables, depending on how you pronounce the W) to say than the phrase “Gun Shot Wound” (only three syllables) that it represents. Ah, well, the initials have more coolness factor…
