   I’m with him on this one. She could’ve just said “no, I haven’t. Why do you ask?” instead of making it all about how he doesn’t pay enough attention to her.

   Lamont is so self-centered he doesn’t pay ANY attention to her. Simpsonfan2 is right, Lamont IS an idiot and the entire strip seems to revolve on this one-trick pony. It is getting old.

   Creativity is hard to sustain. Which may explain why guys like Gary Larson and Bill Watterson quit when they did. Also makes one wonder how Charles Schulz lasted so long. He had some standard repetitive themes that one could count on like the rising sun. Guess people liked his characters so much that they didn’t mind the repetition.
