    Just before the post- apocalyptic orgy of violence and exploitation, the long-term unemployed hordes will comb the streets looking for street people to butcher and eat. They won’t much care if you can teach seminars.

    Most samrt people will leave the cities, go to the country, squat on a plot and grow something. PErhaps they will band together and protect their shantytowns. Until the Warlords rise out of the cities. IT will be a feudal society all over again. Afghanistan on a global scale. American Taliban.

    Do you mean “When the warlords arise?” The definition of a feudal society has a strong leader at the top, before there is a leader at the top it wouldn’t be a feudal society.
