Question Lemont: Are you like the Vulcans and only get frisky every 7 years? If so where do I (Susan) have to stand to be noticed?

The villain in the next one is the same guy as in the last one: J J Abrams.

Some people say George Lucas ruined Star Wars. But at least Lucas can have the right to do so, he created it in the first place. J J ABrams did not create Star Trek.

@simpsonfan2
He also did not ruin it. He saved it. It was dead.

It’s alive, rvernon, but not as we know it.

That’s probably why it was so successful. Star Trek “as we know it” got boring and repetitive somewhere around 1998.

If I’d had to sit through one more Voyager or Enterprise series, I’d have thrown my Spock ears out the window.

Nobody ruined the old Star Trek. It’s still there, available on DVD and reruns, and apparently will continue to be forever. But now we’ve got a new, intriguing branch of the space-time continuum to explore. I myself think J. J. Abrams did a fine job, and I’m looking forward to his take on things for years to come, just as I did with TOS and all the myriad spinoffs.

“Can I ask you a question…?”
“I think you already have, but go ahead and ask another.”

Hey, I’d pay to see it!

Cute!
Actually, I’m pretty sure Lemont would pay to see ANYTHING Star Trek.

I never liked Star Trek. It’s funny because I’ve always really liked astrology and watching documentaries about space/planet/star exploration…but Star Trek always seem to suck.

HARDLY!!! The last Star Trek movie DESTROYED the continuity of the franchise. The only way to save it is to bring is back to the proper time line.

Umm, what does astrology have to do with Star Trek? I don’t believe Kirk ever asked any alien female for her sign. Do you mean astronomy?
