No, it’s merely yet another example of “corp-speak” invading public lexicon and it’s annoying as hell, as much as “touch base”, which never made logical sense to me.
I’m kinda with Lamont here, as pedantic as he is.

It’s the same as saying “but in the future”, or “but from now on”, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Darrin is beyond anal in conversational english, and apparently he’s the only one that would actually notice something like that.
