I live in a srongly Republican area, and judging by the number of people still in denial about the election results, I think the guy on the right could do pretty well for himself here.

The election may be over but politics is never over
For some people it is a nagging obsession bordering on psychosis
I do my best to stay far away from those people

We have a siren that goes off every Friday at noon testing the emergency warning system at the port. Yesterday I said that it is the Republicans making noise to make us feel safe when they are doing nothing and it didn’t go over well with the locals.

I agree with the above commenters. Not in some people’s minds, it’s not over.

The only thing that is permanent is change.

Looking at both the comments and the strip, it completely eludes me. I can’t see either the point or the humor. Personally, I’d expect that the cup of the guy on the right to always be full.

You’d expact that. Chronologically, the election is over. I guess this was what Darrin was getting at. But there are enough people still fulminating that you’d expect the guy on the right to be way ahead.

Interesting choice of words, “do nothing” as in what Obama did for four years. Now, since he has nothing to lose, he will set about destroying our country for the next four. Luckily, that spells a certain Republican landslide at the mid-term, and subsequent Presidential election. Then it will take 8 years to undo the madness before starting the same cycle over again. Happens every time either party is in office. 8 years of one party, then 8 years of the other. Too bad neither of them is ever going to do what is in the best interest of the country. Only a select group of fringe radicals on either side ever get their agenda worked on.
