That got me to giggling for some reason . . . maybe reminded me of my long-ago English students. Once I asked them to take a survey of how people would use certain expressions.
Student: What people can I ask?
Me: Ask your friends.
Student: But my friends are all ignorant, illiterate, or stoopid!
