A clean desk is a sign of a cluttered desk drawer.

Ah yes - the power to tax is the power to destroy.

By the way, 787xix, a clean desk is actually the sign of an empty mind.

The only thing a clean desk is a sign of, is a clean desk.

And remind me not to ask for a glass of water at Doctor Toon’s house!

Everyone’s messing up the quote. Here’s the original:

“If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk?” -Einstein

Saw commercial about some guy whining about the tax on beer and cigarettes…So Stop Drinking and Smoking and you won’t have to worry about it.

And is that a subliminal message to serve tap, tap, tap water, not the overpriced, bottled Yuppie stuff?

I think it was Time magazine once published a photo of Einstein’s desk at the time of his death. What a mess! I kept a copy of the photo for decades but lost it. It’s probably on my desk somewhere.

As for taxing water and soft drinks, why not? The government needs as many ways as they can think of to drain wealth from the productive members of society to redistribute to the unproductive. “From each according to his ability, to each according to his need.” Isn’t that what Marx taught us? Or was it Jesus? No matter; it’s the same thought.

People who excessively drink soft drinks are clearly unproductive members of society; oh, and nothing here about taxes on water.
