Darrin Bell’s Candorville is an insightful look at family, community and race through the eyes of Lemont Brown, a young black writer. Bell pulls no punches and delves into even the most controversial of issues. The wit and humor of the strip will draw you in.

..is this anti-religion or anti-god?are you saying that if there is a god that he has as around much control of us as Lemont has over the germs,or are you saying god is a stupid uncaring god?or are you saying that praying to god is a worthless endeavor because god hardly-if ever-thinks about us because we are germs to him not worth noting?

What a flexible world they live in. Notice the ledge beside them curves one way then the other in the two mid-frames.

Perhaps they forgot the first of Lemont’s commandments; “Thou shalt not stink up my shower.”
