Trailing along days late as usual:
Reposting from the 17th:
ForeverAllstar said, Where did we as women go wrong to make almost every religion in the world hate us so much? If it is not outright it is covert somehow (“women should be silent in the church), but most every religion has something against women. What did we do? Whatever it was I’m sorry already, let it go man, let it to!!!
Weird, ain’t it? But it isn’t every, or even almost every, religion; it’s only the fundamentalist flavor of every religion that is all about, and solely about, controlling women.
I think it’s because they’re all afraid of their moms. Who were probably mean. Because they were unhappy. Because they were oppressed, repressed, and depressed by a controlling, fundamentalist religion….

Look at the shape of most churches; an outer, then inner, entrance, a long aisle up the center, round appendages on both sides, then the altar, where only the men can have the miracle of the birth… – been reading The Vagina Monologues.

Oh; and: Nice save, Lemont!

4deer, religions do not hate women. women have tremendous power, and men actually fear that power. unfortunately, that power is almost always abused by women and even exploited by men. imagine the world we would live in if that power were used in the way God intended.

Some anthropologists would have it that all modern religions are paternalist as a reaction to and a rebellion from the universal “mother goddess” religion which preceded recorded history (as evidenced by the fertility totems).

Time-traveling back to today’s comic: the same thing happened to me once, but the cop didn’t say “safe” -he just laughed and drove on.

Yes, back at today’s cartoon,… Very good joke, excellent artwork. I’ll often disagree with this strip, but I always admire it.
