Nice touch in 3rd frame where kitty gives his opinion on Eating Animals.

As someone’s bumper sticker put it, “I love animals. They taste good.”
As for J&S, it should be obvious that kitty is trying to reach the fish to eat it itself. That’s what carnivores do.
Humans, on the other hand, have evolved as omnivores. That’s why you should have a potato and a side salad with your veal.

I respect vegetarians. Don’t eat a lot of meat myself, but I eat whatever I want. I don’t respect the militant variety who try to force or shame others. It’s in there with religion and politics as an issue where some people just can’t seem to accept that everyone doesn’t see things their way.

I can’t eat anything that was cute when it was alive. No rabbit or deer either. But like I said before, I really don’t eat much meat.

I’ve been considering sending a thank you note to PETA for the wealth of good jokes they’ve inspired. I mean, seriously, such an excellent start into the comedy industry deserves a welcome.

I’m a total animal nut. I have 5 dogs and 16 cats who get organic food and more toys and treats than you can count. My big arthitic old dog has her own recliner on the porch and gets massages. But “Sea Kittens” for fish is the most ridiculous idea I’ve ever heard of. Animal rights yes, abuse of animals made a felony- absolutely. But PETA is just a laughing stock now.

foxglove, PETA has always been a joke among educated people and not so educated people, in other words ,these clowns are stupid, and they need a better hobby.

I am an animal-rights-activist myself and I think a lot of PETA-campaigns are plain stupid. The sea-kittens are just another example of that. Sadly a lot of people think all vegans are 100%-PETA-supporters.
Also I think the joke was hilarious. (And that includes the attack on Lemont.)
