This whole strip has been in Limbo ever since the “McCain’s Honor” story line began.

Doonesbury is on topic. So Trudeau is precognitive, or has more clout with his publishers.

At least it’s been a funny limbo.

This is the first time this strip’s made me laugh in a while.

And I agree with Runar about this storyline. this whole “McCain’s honor” thing has been both dull and (from my GOP perspective) a bit annoying.

JoeMerl, I don’t know why you’d expect Candorville to appeal to your GOP perspective. But I agree this story has been hella boring.

I remember when Doonesbury predicted Reagan was going to win. Don’t know if he’s done that any other time.

Have you guys seen “Apocalypse Now”? If not, I can see why you’d think it was dull. But I liked it for the perfection of the metaphor, and the individual jokes along the way.

And if I’m not mistaken, we finally got to see Lemont’s long-lost dad, only to find out he’s Shaft.

    BrendanR says:

Back in 1968 or 1969, Rowan & Martin’s Laugh-In did a “News from the Future” sketch that reported “President Ronald Reagan” tearing down the Berlin Wall. We all thought it was hilarious then on both points. Reagan? President? Berlin Wall down? I say a rerun of that show last year and it was definitely weird to see it again with the hindsight.
