The wife hates it when you have fun by yourself.

I don’t know Calvin, you’re always making mini-disasters when you’re around Susie…that’s not playing alone! Perhaps you’re scared that you’ll make a fool out of yourself because you don’t know the first thing about softball? ;)

Haven’t seen numbers since then, but ten years ago, the average for NBA players was 7 kids out of wedlock. More time was spent on paternity by team lawyers than contracts.
    .
Where is this building of character that has become a cliche? Sure didn’t see it in high school or college. The pampering of athletes revealed character or lack thereof.

Got a point there. What’s the percentage of college football players charged with felonies compared with the general population?

Nature teaches you to instinctively avoid things that bring you pain and suffering. Like building character.

I thought Calvin signed up for recess baseball, not recess softball. I’m confused… :)

No. A softball (misnomer) is bigger, thus easier to hit, Or get hit by. Also thrown underhanded, and we all know where that leads.

Calvin doesn’t want to learn, period. In some respects I was the same, but I loved playing team sports like softball.
